To display a forum thread (posts and replies)
Click Forums on the menu bar.
Click a forum.
Click a post -OR- Click a post in the Last Topic column.
The topic thread is displayed. Depending on your permissions, you may be able to use some or all of the following controls.
Click a number of stars to the right of a post to rate it. Click the round minus (-) button next to the stars to remove your rating.
Click Print to print the post (not the whole thread).
Click E-mail to open a dialog so you can e-mail the post, in HTML or Plain Text format.
Click Edit to open the post in the HTML Editor. Most users can edit the posts they created. Only administrators or moderators can edit all posts.
Click Delete then confirm the deletion of the post, if you are allowed to perform this operation. If you delete the original post, all replies will also be deleted.
Moderators can click Moderate to remove Tags or Ratings from a post.
To reply to a post, click Post Reply,
use the HTML Editor to compose a reply,
and click Save. Unless the post
needs to be approved by a moderator, the reply will be listed immediately.
Click Tag
to assign tag(s) to this topic (one word or phrase per line).
Click Subscribe
to follow this topic by getting emails with the latest replies. Use the
resulting dialog box to specify an e-mail address and set the frequency
of the alerts.
Click RSS
to retrieve the RSS feed for a topic so you can follow the replies.
Moderators
and administrators can click Lock to disallow
replies to the thread. A lock symbol will appear next to the topic in
the topic list. Click Unlock to
unlock the thread.
Moderators
and administrators can click Make Featured
Topic to promote a topic into the "Featured Topics" section
at the top of the page. This is typically done for FAQs or instructional
topics such as "How to Use this Forum". To "unfeature"
a topic, click Make Normal Topic.
Moderators and administrators can click Show All or Show Only Approved to see all posts or only those that have been approved. These options appear only if the forum was configured to require Post Approval and there are replies awaiting approval.
Click Back to Topic Listing to return to the list of topics.
