About the Library


The Center for Transportation Research (CTR) Library contains all reports produced by the Center and serves as an official repository and archive of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Research Program. It also contains an additional 17,000+ titles of other transportation-related research such as a complete set of Transportation Research Board (TRB) publications, documents from the Federal Highway Administration, and research reports from state departments of transportation.

Services


CTR Library staff are available to assist patrons with literature searches and the use of transportation research databases, answer reference questions, and to provide access to transportation research published by the Center, TxDOT, the Transportation Research Board (TRB), and other agencies.

Our monthly Research Digest announces recently acquired research publications of interest to TxDOT researchers and engineers. We also have various News Feed options that can keep you up-to-date on recent transportation-related research publications.

The Library Manager publishes a monthly Research Alert to provide recommendations about online tools or other advice for conducting transportation research. Our Transportation News Aggregator shows the latest headlines from other selected transportation-research news feeds.

Library services are available without charge to students, researchers, agencies, and the public. Materials circulation is limited to current TxDOT employees and UT faculty, staff, and students. Visit the Library Services FAQ page for more information.
