TxDOT Research Project

Implementation of Project Evaluation Toolkit for Abstracted Networks

Project Summary
This project extended the capabilities of the Project Evaluation Toolkit (PET), while introducing the software to a large network of potential users across the state. The research team provided multiple training and demonstration sessions in various locations, garnering interest and feedback from the staff of metropolitan planning organizations (MPO) and other agencies. Multiple case studies were produced on various metro-area networks, providing additional resources for demonstrating the Toolkit’s capabilities and creating “tutorials” for teaching PET to new users. Along with these analyses, the research team gathered feedback from presentation attendees, which helped shape further development of the Toolkit by refining features and developing new capabilities.
